Five years ago I was tossed aside. a failed experiment. I should have known they’d never really let me go. They made one really stupid mistake though. They hired the wrong mercenaries. Together the brooding kelpie, wildcard puka, and hot nerdy witch were supposed to hand me over to the man who tossed me into the gutter. Instead they took me and the money, and ran. If my kidnappers had any sense they would have sold me off to the highest bidder. Except they didn’t. The kelpie teaches me what it is to trust. The puka shows me how to let go.
