Cog In The Machine (Archive:Automatae) by Brian L. Mack Edward was content. 'Every cog has its purpose, and the ability to fulfill that purpose.' So it was stated by the Celestial Krugg at the end of the Enlightenment, and thus the City of Automatae has sat untouched for years, content to toil away at Machineworks. Edward was no different. He tinkered away the years, waiting to shoot to the top with his innovations, but as circumstance would have it... more obstacles than planned for were popping up. The rumblings of unsettlement in the Lower Points were embroiling him and the rest of Automatae in a power struggle that was giving him a lot more than what he wanted, and the brutal assassination of an alien ambassador wasn't making it any easier either. Honestly, it was thrusting them into an ideological war. One entirely above his ability and paygrade. But what did he really know about all that? He was just another Cog In The Machine.
