Did not finish book. Stopped at 71% due to reading for a specific category for Indie Ink that this novel did not match from my read in the Writing the Future We Need categories.

Dark and brooding, funny, and really tender in the most lovely way all wrapped up into one. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series.

Content Warnings: Minor CWs: bullying, trafficking, blood, death, threat of sexual violence

This was a really interesting novel, although there were odd breaks in the progress of the overall story arc as the protagonist went from one portion of the setting/story to another. This created a slightly disjointed reader experience for me. World building was distinctive.
